Liverpool to make £7m bid for Basel winger Mohamed Salah?

Liverpool are reportedly planning to make a formal offer for Basel winger Mohamed Salah in the coming days.

The Egypt international, who can also play in the middle of the park, has been linked with the Merseyside outfit for some time.

Reports have emerged claiming that Basel would be willing to sell for around £12m, but it is believed that the Reds are not prepared to reach their price.

In the next few days, Liverpool will lodge a bid of around £7m for Salah, according to ESPN.

The decision to table an offer was made following talks between the club's American owners and manager Brendan Rodgers over the weekend.
