Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has expressed an interest in signing Portsmouth teenager Conor Chaplin, according to reports.
The 18-year-old striker, who made his senior debut for Pompey in a home defeat to Accrington Stanley last December, has scored four goals this season.
According to the Daily Star, the Anfield boss is eager to bolster its Under-21 team's ranks, and Chaplin has been earmarked as a potential star of the future.
Chaplin signed his first professional contract at Fratton Park last year, and is rated so highly at the South Coast club that he was offered a new three-year deal in September.
