Liverpool are reportedly tracking Celtic midfielder James Forrest and may make an approach before the end of the January transfer window.
The Reds are well positioned with less than half of the season to play, sitting top of the Premier League and into the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
According to the Scottish Sun, Jurgen Klopp is looking to further strengthen his squad for the remaining four months of the season, with Forrest among his targets.
Liverpool scouts are said to have kept a close eye on the Scotland international for a number of months and have been impressed by his performances.
Forrest, who has been involved in Celtic's first team for the past nine years, has 11 goals for the Bhoys this season and a further five for his national side.
The report indicates that the 27-year-old could be available for as little as £8m, despite having three years to run on his existing contract.
