Liverpool recall Sheyi Ojo from Wolverhampton Wanderers

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recalls young winger Sheyi Ojo from his loan spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Liverpool have recalled Sheyi Ojo from his loan spell with Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers as manager Jurgen Klopp looks to solve his injury crisis.

The 18-year-old winger was due to spend the whole season in the Midlands with Kenny Jackett's side but has fallen down the pecking order in recent months, featuring for just two minutes in the last seven games.

"We thank Sheyi for what he has done for us and we thank Liverpool as well," said Jackett. "He had a big effect for us coming on as an impact substitute. He is still young and I think he has a big future and with time and experience will go on to become a very good player.

"I am sure the six months he has had with us will be put to good use and he will go on and progress his career. We have seen Jordan Graham emerge in his position and for everyone concerned I think this is the best option.

"Sheyi can now either progress with Liverpool's Under-21s or go out and get a loan spell where he has more chance of playing regularly. We wish him all the best."

Klopp is expected to name Ojo in the Liverpool senior side travelling to Exeter in the FA Cup this Friday.
