Liverpool are reportedly considering a summer move for Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomez.
Gomez, 22, is widely regarded as one of the best young forwards in Spain's top flight and has attracted interest from the likes of West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona in recent months.
However, according to The Sun, Liverpool are also very much in the hunt for the Uruguay international as the Reds prepare to sign a new centre-forward ahead of the 2019-2020 campaign.
Gomez joined Celta from Defensor Sporting's youth team in 2017 and has registered 27 goals in 62 appearances for his Spanish club in all competitions.
This term, meanwhile, the striker has nine goals and five assists in 23 appearances.
West Ham were reportedly prepared to meet the South American's release clause of £43.3m in the January transfer window, but Gomez ultimately remained in Vigo.
