Liverpool have reportedly decided that they will not pursue a deal for RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.
The Merseyside giants have been heavily linked with a summer move for the Germany international, and manager Jurgen Klopp is an admirer of the player given the level of his performances in the Bundesliga.
However, according to The Mirror, Klopp instead intends to place faith in Rhian Brewster when the academy player returns from an ankle injury.
The 18-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for the Premier League leaders, but the prospect has already won the Under-17 World Cup with England.
Klopp has previously shown a willingness to develop younger players, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Ben Woodburn being given the chance to represent the senior side.
