Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that there is "no chance" of Danny Ings leaving the club on deadline day.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out a deadline-day exit for striker Danny Ings, declaring that a rumoured loan switch has "no chance" of happening.

The 25-year-old has only just come back into the fold for the Reds, having spent much of the last two years on the sidelines with serious knee injuries.

Reports in recent weeks have suggested that the player could be loaned out for the second half of the campaign in order to give him regular game time, with the likes of Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion and Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers all said to be interested.

Asked about the likelihood of such a deal after Liverpool's 3-0 win at Huddersfield Town last night, Klopp joked to reporters: "It would be funny if someone calls for Ingsy. I would love to respond!

"No chance. We will see what happens. There's no chance Ingsy is on the market tomorrow. Only if I'm unconscious!

"But yeah, maybe something happens, that is possible. We will see."

Ings moved to Anfield from Burnley in the summer of 2015 but has made just nine Premier League appearances for the side to date.
