Newcastle United to miss out on signing Feyenoord striker Nicolai Jorgensen?

Newcastle United reportedly fail in their pursuit of Feyenoord striker Nicolai Jorgensen.

Newcastle United have reportedly failed to land the signature of Feyenoord striker Nicolai Jorgensen.

The Magpies were thought to have targeted the Dane in order to add more firepower to their misfiring attack this season.

According to the Shields Gazette, a deadline was set for Newcastle to improve their rejected offer of £15m, but it is now believed that the cut-off time has passed and no fresh bid was tabled.

Rafael Benitez has overseen his team score just 22 goals in 24 Premier League games this season, with Joselu top-scoring with four.

Newcastle currently reside 15th in the table, one point above the dropzone.
