Valon Behrami wants Alberto Aquilani to join him at Fiorentina

Fiorentina winger Valon Behrami hopes Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani will join him at the Serie A club this summer.

The Florence outfit have been strongly linked with a move for the Italian midfielder, who is under contract with Liverpool until June 2014.

"Aquilani is the right player to bring back the enthusiasm of the Fiorentina fans," former West Ham player Behrami told Corriere dello Sport.

Aquilani's future is uncertain after being linked with a move away from Anfield this summer. Although he spent last season on loan at Juventus, the club have shown no interest in signing the Italy international permanently.
