Midfielder Alberto Aquilani has left Liverpool to join Fiorentina, according to the Italian club's president.
The 28-year-old was signed for £20m in 2009, but after failing to make an impact at Anfield in his debut season, he was subsequently loaned out in the following seasons.
The Italian international, who has played for Juventus and Milan in the previous two years, he has now sealed a permanent departure from Anfield after Fiorentina club president Andrea Delle Valle announced his signing to Italian media.
It is also believed that Liverpool have agreed to contribute to Aquilani's wages at Fiorentina to conclude the deal.
