Blackpool manager Michael Appleton claims that Liverpool have made an unsatisfactory bid for forward Tom Ince.

Blackpool manager Michael Appleton has claimed that Liverpool have made an unsatisfactory offer for forward Tom Ince.

The 20-year-old has been tipped to make a return to Anfield after he was sold by the Premier League club 18 months ago.

"I think there's been a conversation between [chairman] Karl Oyston and Liverpool about an offer," Appleton told BBC Sport. "But as far as I'm aware, it's way below the type of money we'd expect for someone of Tom's talent."

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers avoided questions from reporters over a possible move for Ince on Thursday.
