Agent: Mario Balotelli "happy" at Liverpool

Mario Balotelli is happy to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place in the team after being left out of their recent draw with Bolton, according to his agent.

The agent of misfiring Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has claimed that his client is happy to stay at the club.

The Italy international, who is yet to score a Premier League goal since joining for £16m from AC Milan in August, was left out of the Reds' 0-0 FA Cup draw with Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

However, manager Brendan Rodgers has since assured Balotelli that he has a future at Anfield, and agent Mino Raiola insists that the 24-year-old has reacted professionally to the omission.

"Yes, he is happy at Liverpool," Raiola told Sky Sports News. "Nobody is happy to be left out but he reacted in a professional way."

Parma are among those clubs reportedly willing to offer Balotelli an escape route, having scored just twice in all competitions this season.
