Georginio Wijnaldum describes Liverpool camp as having "fun" atmosphere

Georginio Wijnaldum hails the "fun" atmosphere in the Liverpool camp following a positive start to the season.

Georginio Wijnaldum has described the atmosphere in the Liverpool camp as "fun" due to their positive form.

Jurgen Klopp's men currently sit second in the Premier League table after winning eight, drawing three and losing just one game in 12.

The Reds are also unbeaten in their last 10 top-flight games and have scored 30 goals - the most that any other team in the division has netted so far this season.

Wijnaldum, who joined the Merseyside outfit from Newcastle United in the summer, has been in and out of the starting lineup so far in the campaign, but is content with Liverpool's style and expects to score more goals following his strike in their recent 6-1 romp over Watford.

"The way we are working, it's really fun and because we are winning a lot of games it gives us a lot of confidence and we enjoy football more," Wijnaldum told Sky Sports News. "If you don't win games, it's difficult to enjoy and see the fun in football.

"I work with a good manager and my teammates are good, quality players. That makes me a better player. I play in a different position and for the people you are always high profile when you score goals and now it's less than I scored last season, but I still have faith that it will come. I'm just happy that I can be part of this team.

"If everyone trains 100% and we all just do our best, that makes us each a better player. Every training exercise we do is like a real game."

Liverpool's next game will be against Sunderland on Saturday at Anfield.
