Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Daniel Sturridge has plenty more to give as he is yet to reach maximum fitness.
The England international spent five months on the treatment table with calf and thigh injuries, but has been filtered back into the team since the end of January.
Sturridge has made three starts and scored two goals in all competitions so far, and Rodgers has insisted that the 25-year-old striker is relishing the new 3-4-3 formation
"Daniel is excited by the new system," The Express quotes Rodgers as saying. "He is not fully fit yet, but put a fully-fit Daniel Sturridge into that system and it lights it up again.
"Come the end of this week Daniel will then be on a great run and able to play every game and be able to train."
The forward is expected to play in Wednesday's match against Burnley after starting on the bench in Sunday's 2-1 win over Manchester City at Anfield.
