Raheem Sterling ready to learn from Daniel Sturridge, Luis Suarez

Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling says that he is learning from watching strikers Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez.

Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has said that he is trying to learn from Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez.

The 18-year-old has found his first-team opportunities limited this season, with manager Brendan Rodgers recently opting to use a different formation than the one Sterling is naturally used to operating in.

The winger has had to settle for a place on the bench for most of the season, with his last start coming in an unfamiliar wing-back role in the 3-1 win against Crystal Palace on October 5.

However, the teenager said that he is willing to bide his time, and learn from the in-form strikers.

"I can definitely learn from Sturridge and Suarez," Sterling told the club's official website.

"They've taken this season by storm and their link-up play feels like they've been playing together for a good few years now. But it's only been a short amount of time and I'm sure as time goes on they'll improve together.

"Hopefully I'll get my chance and hopefully I'll take it. But the team has been great so far this season. They're both clinical and both really good players. So I'm really looking forward to playing with them."

The Reds are currently third in the Premier League.
