Jonjo Shelvey has revealed that he is keen to make some appearances in Liverpool's first team following his return from a loan spell with Blackpool.
The 19-year-old's time with the Tangerines was largely successful, having found the net on six occasions in ten outings.
However, Shelvey is now hoping to have the opportunity to prove himself at the highest level.
"I feel that the time I spent away from the club really helped me come on as a player," Shelvey told the club's official website. "But it also made me realise just how much I want to be playing in Liverpool's first team.
"There's a big difference between Championship football and Premier League football.
"It's so good to be back in and around the squad."
Shelvey joined the Reds from League One side Charlton Athletic in May 2010.
