Mamadou Sakho out to end Manchester City record

Mamadou Sakho claims that Liverpool are out to end Manchester City's winning home record on Boxing Day when the teams meet in the Premier League.

Mamadou Sakho has claimed that Liverpool will go all out to end Manchester City's winning home record on Boxing Day.

The Merseysiders travel to the Etihad Stadium looking to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Despite City having won all of their home games in the top flight this season, Sakho insists that such runs must finish at some point.

"That's great for them if they have a great home record, but football nowadays is all about turning form and records around," he told the club's official website.

"The key for me quite simply is to be determined and confident in ourselves and I hope we will go there to try and put an end to that home record.

"The aim is to try and win every match, whether it's here or at their place, so we'll try and go there determined and ready for the fight and try and win. It's as simple as that."

Liverpool head into the match on the back of four consecutive victories in the Premier League.
