Italian outfit Napoli have apparently approached Liverpool about the prospect of taking defender Daniel Agger on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Danish international lost his place in the Reds team earlier this season after returning from injury to find Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho ahead of him in the centre-back pecking order.
Several teams across Europe are believed to be monitoring his situation, including Napoli, who are managed by former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, who brought Agger to Merseyside in 2006 for £5.8m
According to The Times, the Serie A side have made a loan offer for the 29-year-old, but his Anfield club are likely to reject it considering their reluctance to let him go in the summer.
In the last transfer window, Liverpool reportedly rebuffed a £15m bid from Spanish giants Barcelona for Agger, who has started just three Premier League matches since September.
