Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed his delight at his team's display in the victory over Southampton on Saturday.

Daniel Agger's header secured the three points at Anfield and Rodgers believes that his side deserved to win by a bigger margin.

"I thought we were terrific. We just lacked more of a finishing touch," said Rodgers. "I really enjoyed watching us today.

"As the season goes on, hopefully, some of our chances will start to go in. Overall, we were well deserving of the win and the game should have been out of sight sooner."

Liverpool have moved to 11th with the win.
