Brendan Rodgers: Liverpool haven't been "worked out"

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists that his side's system has not been "worked out" by their opponents following back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.

Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Liverpool's system has not been "worked out" by their opponents following back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.

The Reds were thrashed 4-1 by Arsenal at the weekend after losing to Manchester United before the international break, leaving the side seven points outside the Champions League places.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of his side's FA Cup quarter-final replay against Blackburn Rovers, the manager said: "I don't think it's about being worked out. We didn't start well [against Arsenal], and it doesn't matter what system you are playing if that happens.

"The last two games we've played, or the last four really, we haven't created much, and that is on ourselves.

"Of course you can give the opposition credit, for pressing and defending well, but we haven't created as much, and that is something we want to reinforce."

Liverpool travel to Ewood Park on Wednesday.
