Report: Liverpool appoint dedicated 'throw-in coach'

A report suggests that Jurgen Klopp has appointed a dedicated 'throw-in coach' to work specifically with his full-backs and reduce mistakes from the set-piece play.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has brought in a dedicated 'throw-in coach' to work with his players on the training ground, according to a report.

The Telegraph suggests that Thomas Gronnemark was appointed during the summer to help reduce the number of errors from the set-piece play.

Gronnemark will reportedly work specifically with full-backs Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno, while James Milner, Georginio Wijnaldum and Sadio Mane have also taken part in various sessions.

The world record holder for the longest throw-in has previously spent time with Midtjylland and Bundesliga sides Schalke 04 and Hertha Berlin.

Liverpool take or defend an estimated 50 throw-ins per match in the Premier League.
