Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has criticised the Premier League over their scheduling of fixtures over the New Year.
The Citizens face two games in three days while Liverpool, their opponents on January 3, have two more days to rest in between fixtures.
"I am disappointed only because we play January 1 and January 3 and Liverpool play December 30 and then January 3 against us," said Mancini.
"I think that at this moment this is not correct."
The Italian's City side are level on points with rivals Manchester United at the top of the table after they were held to a 0-0 draw by West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns yesterday.
