Liverpool have released a statement claiming that they will wait to "review" the details of FIFA's four-month ban on Luis Suarez before making any comment on the sanction.
The Uruguay international was banned from all football activity for four months, as well as nine international matches after he was found guilty of sinking his teeth into the shoulder of Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's 1-0 victory at the World Cup in Brazil on Tuesday.
A statement from Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre said: "Liverpool Football Club will wait until we have seen and had time to review the FIFA Disciplinary Committee report before making any further comment."
The world governing body have confirmed that Suarez will be permitted to complete any transfers this summer, despite the ban including administrative aspects of football.
