Jurgen Klopp: 'Liverpool showed fantastic attitude to earn win'

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits that his side did not play "fantastic football" away to Burnley, but says leaving Turf Moor with all three points is all that matters.

Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on his Liverpool players for claiming a 2-1 win away to Burnley despite not being at their best.

The Reds snatched a late victory at Turf Moor on Monday afternoon courtesy of Ragnar Klavan's first Premier League goal for the club in the 94th minute.

Prior to that, Johann Berg Gudmundsson found a way through three minutes from the end to cancel out Sadio Mane's opener, leaving Burnley on the brink of a deserved point.

After seeing his side dig deep to regain their lead late on Klopp, who made seven changes to his starting lineup on the back of the 2-1 win over Leicester City 48 hours prior, was left full of pride.

"It was a fantastic finish to the game. This is one of the toughest places to play all season," BBC Sport quotes him as saying. "I like rotation, I love the quality of my squad and I am really pleased.

"It was not fantastic football but it was a fantastic attitude. Today it wasn't possible to play brilliantly but it was an open game, we had a massive setback with the equaliser but we changed it again - we haven't done that too often this year.

"But it was a very difficult game, thee fixtures are really difficult to take. We did brilliant, the weather made it so hard, windy, rainy. Burnley are dong well, we denied them to do what they usually like to do.

"It took a while to score and then the next two goals were very similar. Did we deserve to win? I don't care. We got the three points. Six points in two days - I've never had that before."

Liverpool have now gone 16 games unbeaten in all competitions - their longest run under Klopp.
