Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised his side's young players following their 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic in pre-season this afternoon.
Goals from Danny Ings and 16-year-old Ben Woodburn within three second-half minutes of each other were enough to give Liverpool the win at the DW Stadium, while the likes of Ryan Kent, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kevin Stewart, Connor Randall, Cameron Brannagan and Ovie Ejaria all featured.
Klopp believes that the youngsters are beginning to get more of a feel for the game now, and was particularly pleased with his side's second-half display.
"Now with the young boys, they think a little bit less so they only go when they feel the game more. Then it is a bit more fluent and you can see what can happen," he told LFCTV.
"It was a wonderful second half, to be honest. [Wigan] didn't change a lot. I know that they are one week earlier in the Championship so maybe they are one week further than we could be, but the second half looked really good. I enjoyed it."
Liverpool take on Huddersfield Town on Wednesday in their final pre-season game before flying out to the United States for the International Champions Cup.
