Stevan Jovetic hails best moment for Manchester City

Stevan Jovetic believes that tonight's performance against Liverpool was his best as a Manchester City player.

Stevan Jovetic has admitted that he put in his best performance in a Manchester City shirt this evening.

The Montenegro international arrived at City last summer, but injuries limited him to just 16 appearances in all competitions last term.

However, having had a positive pre-season, the 24-year-old went on to score twice tonight as Liverpool were defeated 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

When asked if it was his best moment for City by Sky Sports News, Jovetic replied: "Yes. There wasn't so many beautiful moments until now because I had so many problems last year but I don't want to think about that. That's the past and I just want to enjoy this team and these players.

"Liverpool is one of the teams that can win the Premier League. Today we played very well and it was a very important victory for us."

City paid Fiorentina a reported £22m to sign the striker.
