The FA confirms that it will investigate footage of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez allegedly biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The FA has confirmed that it will investigate footage tomorrow of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez allegedly biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The incident took place during the second half of Sunday's 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Suarez is understood to have bit Ivanovic as the players tussled in the Chelsea penalty area, but referee Kevin Friend failed to see it and took no action.

The Uruguayan international then went on to score deep into added time to earn Liverpool a point.

Suarez was banned for seven matches back in 2010 for a similar incident while he was playing for Ajax in the Netherlands.
