The Football Association have confirmed that the decision on the Luis Suarez case will be delayed until Tuesday at the earliest.
Suarez has been accused of racially abusing Patrice Evra during a bust-up in the match between Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield.
A decision had been expected to be announced for Friday night, however the FA have chosen to prolong the enquiry and will go through all the evidence again before making a final decision.
"The Independent Regulatory Commission has confirmed there will be no decision this evening and will continue working through the weekend," read a statement released on the FA's official website.
"There will be no announcement on any decision before Tuesday 20 December 2011 at the earliest."
Suarez is expected to be involved on Sunday as Liverpool travel to Aston Villa.
