Burnley boss Sean Dyche has claimed that striker Danny Ings has all the qualities needed to prove himself a success with Liverpool.
The 22-year-old, whose 12 Premier League goals were unable to keep Burnley from relegation last season, will join the Reds on July 1 providing he passes a medical.
Although Dyche acknowledges that it is a "big jump" from Turf Moor to Anfield, the Clarets manager is confident that Ings can be a hit on Merseyside.
"It's a big jump, not so much as a footballer, as he played in the Premier League last season, but the fact they are a big, historic club, although Burnley are as well," Dyche told Sky Sports News.
"But the grandeur of Liverpool, the physical size of it and the fan presence there, whether they will take to him and he can get off and running, whether he can deliver performances all be factors.
"I'm confident he can be a success but there is a settling-in period with a new club but hopefully he will be in a good environment and be successful there."
Ings will join on a Bosman following the expiration of his contract.
