Kenny Dalglish admits he is "delighted" that Luis Suarez wants to remain at Liverpool.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has claimed that Luis Suarez's intention to remain with the club is bad news for other teams in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old announced on Monday that he is "very happy" with life at Anfield, and Dalglish admitted his delight at the news.

"It's certainly encouraging for us, although it might be bad news for the other Premier League teams. Luis has always said he is happy here, so it's great for everyone who supports us," Dalglish told reporters.

"I don't think he has been anything other than a threat to the opposition. So we are delighted with the wee man's comments and we have been delighted with him since he has been here.

"Luis has made a contribution every time he has stepped out on the pitch. He scores goals, creates goals and it's great news that he is happy."

Liverpool face Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League on Wednesday.
