Tim Cahill is a doubt for Everton ahead of Saturday's Merseyside derby.

Everton manager David Moyes has revealed that Tim Cahill is in a fitness race for Saturday's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

The midfielder injured his leg in a challenge with Vincent Kompany during the Toffees' 2-0 defeat to Manchester City last Saturday.

"His leg was black and blue and he hasn't trained yet but we'll be keeping a close eye on him, and we'll wait and see," said the Scot.

"He's been doing well for us up front, he hasn't scored any goals yet but he's done well."

Everton go into the match in 11th place, while Liverpool sit in fifth.
