Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has insisted that club owner John Henry is "committed" to the Reds, despite not being in regular attendance at Anfield this season.
Ayre has ensured supporters that the American businessman, who fronts Fenway Sports Group that bought the Premier League outfit over two years ago, is in regular contact with the club, despite residing in Boston.
"I wouldn't read anything into John not being here," Sky Sports News quotes Ayre as saying. "I speak to John very regularly and he's really pleased with the way things are going with the team.
"I know he keeps in contact with [manager] Brendan [Rodgers] regularly. I'm sure we will see him here soon.
"John's commitment to Liverpool isn't about him being at games. It's about him being involved and committed and being supportive. All that happens on a consistent basis."
Liverpool currently sit eighth in the Premier League table, nine points adrift of fourth place.
