Agent: 'Walter Mazzari learning English'

Former Inter Milan and Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri is learning to speak English amid links with Premier League clubs, according to his agent.

The agent of former Inter Milan and Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri has revealed that his client is learning to speak English, amid speculation suggesting that he is looking for a Premier League job.

The 53-year-old Italian has been linked with the managerial roles at Liverpool, Sunderland and Stoke City in recent weeks.

Andrea D'Amico has suggested that Mazzarri, who is out of work since leaving Inter last November, could take up a position in England.

"He's carrying out a program of continuous upgrading, and he's learning the English language well," D'Amico told FCInterNews.

"Will he go to the Premier League? It's hard to say, Mazzarri is a coach of the highest level, he's proved that everywhere he's worked. I don't think the geographical location of his new club is important, it's the project. Walter deserves to work at a high level.

"For his new challenge two things will count above all; the project and the contract. He could return to work immediately, or at the end of the season, it depends on the project."

Mazzarri has also managed Sampdoria and Reggiana during his career.
