Sports Mole looks over Liverpool's 5-2 win over struggling Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Liverpool claimed their first Premier League win of the season this afternoon courtesy of a 5-2 triumph against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Luis Suarez was the main architect of Norwich's downfall, netting three goals to match the contribution that he managed in Norfolk last campaign.

Here, Sports Mole has reviewed the previous 90 minutes to determine whether or not the Reds were deserving of such a large winning margin.

Was the result fair?

Sometimes you see these scorelines and they can be harsh - not today though! From the first whistle Liverpool were the dominant force. In previous matches they've failed to take their chances. However, today Suarez in particular was clinical in front of goal.

Norwich's performance

Plenty for manager Chris Hughton to work on after this match. His side missed a couple of glorious chances, while at the back they looked like conceding every time Liverpool went forward. Unless their performance improves over the coming weeks, it could be a long old season at Carrow Road.

Liverpool's performance

Liverpool supporters will tell you that a result like that had been coming. They've dominated most of their fixtures this season without being able to find the three points. Today was different, much different. Suarez found his shooting boots, while Suso and Raheem Sterling looked lively.

Referee's Performance

No complaints about the way that Mike Jones controlled this match. He allowed the play to flow and only got his yellow card out when absolutely necessary, which wasn't often.

Sports Mole's man of the match

Anybody that claims a hat-trick is going to win this and it's no different on this occasion. Suarez has his critics but when he's on form and his head is right, like today, he's unplayable. Not only did he bag a hat-trick, he also set up Nuri Sahin's goal.

Biggest gaffe

Pepe Reina and Robert Snodgrass put up a good fight for this award. However, it has to go to Michael Turner. The Norwich defender dallied with the ball just outside his own area and Suarez pounced to gain possession, before slotting the ball into the net to put his side 2-0 up.

What's next?

Norwich: Following a result like this, ideally Norwich would be playing a side that is struggling like themselves. The fixtures computer had other ideas though - they go to Chelsea!

Liverpool: After Udinese in the Europa League, Stoke City are the visitors to Anfield. The Reds should be full of confidence after this result.
