Thursday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:
Kai Havertz 'wants to join Timo Werner, Antonio Rudiger at Chelsea'
Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz is reportedly keen to link up with German compatriots Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger at Chelsea.
Speculation has gathered pace surrounding Havertz's future in recent days, with Chelsea supposedly in pole position to secure the 21-year-old's signature ahead of next season.
The German playmaker will supposedly cost in the region of £90m, however, potentially putting off potential buyers in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Nevertheless, The Telegraph reports that Havertz is eyeing up a move to the blue side of London in order to play alongside his international teammates Rudiger and Werner.
Werner will wear the Chelsea colours for the 2020-21 campaign after completing a move from RB Leipzig last month, while Rudiger has turned out 109 times for the Blues since arriving from Roma in 2017.
Havertz, who has also been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich, has registered 17 goals and nine assists for Leverkusen across all competitions this term.
Xherdan Shaqiri set to stay at Liverpool this summer?
Xherdan Shaqiri could reportedly stay with Liverpool this summer despite being strongly linked with a move away from the club over the last few months.
The 28-year-old has only made 10 appearances for the Reds this season, with just six of those outings coming in the Premier League, having fallen out of favour under head coach Jurgen Klopp.
The Switzerland international has only played one minute of league football since the middle of December, and it had been thought that he would move on ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
However, according to The Athletic, the attacker could remain at Anfield this summer due to the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
The report claims that Liverpool value Shaqiri in the region of €30m (£27m) but interested clubs are unlikely to be able to afford that figure due to the worldwide pandemic.
The Swiss has a contract at Anfield until the summer of 2023.
