Liverpool have been dealt a injury blow involving Alexis Mac Allister during his involvement with Argentina this week.
The 25-year-old has formed a key part of the Reds' midfield during the opening stages of Arne Slot's reign at the 2019-20 Premier League champions.
Mac Allister has started and played every minute of Liverpool's first three matches in the top flight following the departure of legendary coach Jurgen Klopp in May.
They have enjoyed a flawless start to their Premier League title charge, collecting nine points and keeping three straight clean sheets.
The latest of those shutouts arrived at the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday afternoon, when Liverpool cruised to a three-goal success over arch rivals Manchester United.

Liverpool's Mac Allister misses Argentina training
Following a stellar start to the campaign, Liverpool have been handed their first serious injury blow of the 2024-25 season as they fight for the English crown.
While on international duty for Argentina, World Cup winner Mac Allister pulled up with an injury, meaning that he has missed some of the squad's training this week.
Speaking to the Argentinian news outlet TyC Sports, head coach Lionel Scaloni said: "Alexis did not train because he was overloaded, he was in pain. It always happens to us, they come out to do their part.
"We will wait and see how he responds. It does not change our way of playing much because we will stay the same, but it is true that he gives us play, set pieces. The rest of the team is more or less decided."
Judging off Scaloni's comments, Mac Allister is a major doubt for Argentina's World Cup qualifier versus Chile on Thursday night, and possibly the trip to Colombia on Tuesday.

Which Liverpool games could Mac Allister miss?
Liverpool's Slot machine will hope to provide another big payout for supporters when they host Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on September 14.
If Mac Allister is not fit to face the Tricky Trees, he will have only three further days to recover before the Reds travel to AC Milan on the opening night of the Champions League.
An EFL Cup third-round clash with West Ham United arrives between top-flight clashes with Bournemouth at Anfield and Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux before the end of September.
Should Mac Allister prove to be unavailable for any of those fixtures, Ryan Gravenberch will require a new partner in midfield, with Wataru Endo a likely candidate for the role.
