Half-Time Report: No goals at Turf Moor between Liverpool, Burnley

Liverpool and Burnley remain level following a goalless first half at Turf Moor in the Premier League.

Liverpool and Burnley have headed into half time level in their Premier League game this afternoon following a goalless first half at Turf Moor.

Raheem Sterling had the ball in the back of the net just a few minutes after kickoff, but the midfielder had been flagged for offside several seconds before he unleashed his shot.

The hosts almost broke the deadlock 15 minutes in when Danny Ings was given time and space in the box, but his finish was kept out by the post.

The visitors had to make a change just a few minutes later as Brad Jones, who was injured in the warm-up, was unable to continue after aggravating the problem while trying to save the Ings strike, forcing Brendan Rodgers to turn to Simon Mignolet.

Liverpool started to dominate the possession as half time approached, with Adam Lallana getting a drive away after a pass from Steven Gerrard, but he could not beat the keeper.

Scott Arfield had another chance for Burnley before the break, lashing the ball towards goal from the edge of the box, but Lucas was back to help Mignolet with a block.
