Everton midfielder Darron Gibson warns Liverpool to expect a tough match in next month's FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Everton midfielder Darron Gibson has told Liverpool to expect a tough match when the two sides meet in their FA Cup semi-final next month.

A Steven Gerrard hat-trick condemned the Toffees to a 3-0 defeat at Anfield in the Premier League earlier this month.

Despite the loss, Gibson believes that Everton will be stronger for the showdown at Wembley after they beat Sunderland 1-0 in the quarter-finals.

"I was at the derby and it was disappointing," said Gibson. "Now we've got to forget about that.

"It will be a different prospect for them, as [we will have] probably our strongest side. We had worked all week on our game plan, pulled it off and played really well at Sunderland."

The two Merseyside clubs meet for a place in the final on Saturday, April 14.
