Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that he is not looking beyond tomorrow night's Europa League qualifier with Heart of Midlothian.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he is not looking beyond tomorrow night's Europa League qualifier with Heart of Midlothian.

The Reds host Hearts at Anfield after beating them 1-0 at Tynecastle last week and while many are predicting a comfortable night for Rodgers's men, the Northern Irishman is not taking anything for granted.

"The most important thing is getting through tomorrow night; there's no point looking beyond that," said Rodgers.

"Every competition we are in we want to do as well as we possibly can. To win
anything and to achieve anything, you need to have a good squad and a strong squad and I believe I've got some terrific players here. We want to go as far as we possibly can.

"There's no doubt the advantage is with us but we're certainly not going to be complacent. We're very much focused on the task. 1-0 can be a dangerous score. If we perform like we did at the weekend (against Manchester City) then hopefully that will get us a good result."

Rodgers also stated that Sunday's home fixture against Arsenal will not enter his thinking when deciding on his team to face Hearts.

"Tomorrow we'll be strong and we'll be looking to go and win the game. We just need to keep the momentum going. Our performance levels were excellent at the weekend and we want to keep that going forward," he added.

An own goal from Andy Webster was enough to give the Reds the 1-0 lead in last week's first leg.
