Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has revealed that he is "really looking forward" to playing in the Champions League next season.
The Reds ended a five-year absence from the competition this term by finishing in second place in the Premier League table.
Sterling, who is included in the England squad for the World Cup, admits that he is excited about coming up against the best players in Europe next year.
"It's a great boost to come back to, being back in the Champions League," he told the club's official website. "For a young player like me, it'll be a great experience. I'm really looking forward to it.
"It's credit to the boys who worked day in, day out, to try and make our dream come true. It's unfortunate that we couldn't [win the title], but it is a great credit to everyone. We worked really well from the get-go."
Sterling scored 10 goals in 38 appearances for Liverpool during the 2013-14 campaign.
