Coventry City end Leyton Orient's 12-game unbeaten streak

Leyton Orient slump to their first defeat of the season, as Coventry City ease to a 3-1 victory over Russell Slade's men.

Coventry City have dealt Leyton Orient their first defeat of the season following a 3-1 victory at the Sixfields Stadium in League One tonight.

Orient, who had beaten the Sky Blues twice already this term in the Capital One Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy respectively, fell behind on 10 minutes courtesy of a Carl Baker strike.

Striker David Mooney saw his bid to restore parity rebuffed by Joe Murphy from the penalty spot early in the second half, which would soon prove costly.

Franck Moussa doubled his team's advantage shortly after, expertly lobbing over goalkeeper Jamie Jones, before forward Leon Clarke's 76th-minute header extinguished any hopes of a comeback.

Russell Slade's men bagged a consolation, with Yohann Lasimant netting in the dying embers, but the O's failed to extend their 12-game unbeaten run.
