Levante and Getafe have played out a goalless draw in their La Liga match at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.

There was end-to-end action in the opening minutes of the match but neither side could create a clear-cut chance.

However, the hosts were unlucky not to surge ahead on 18 minutes when Pedro Lopez's shot from just outside the Getafe box rattled the crossbar.

Four minutes later Miguel Torres shot over from close range after finding himself with a loose ball.

The contest became more even thereafter with even half-chances hard to come by, and the opening minutes of the second period were also devoid of any notable incidents.

There were a string of half-chances during the entire second half in Valencia but nothing concrete until the final minute of normal time when Torres smashed his effort against the crossbar.
