Harry Maguire 'to land new Leicester City contract'

Leicester City are reportedly on the verge of offering Harry Maguire a new and improved long-term contract.

Maguire has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in this summer's transfer window, although Leicester are said to be refusing to sell the 25-year-old.

Earlier this week, Leicester boss Claude Puel said that he was confident the Foxes would be able to keep Maguire in this summer's transfer window.

According to The Mirror, the former Sheffield United youngster will now be offered a new contract worth £95,000 a week, which would almost double his current salary at the King Power Stadium.

Maguire, who impressed for England at the 2018 World Cup, signed a five-year contract with Leicester upon his arrival from Hull City last summer.

The centre-back appeared in all 38 of Leicester's Premier League matches last term before helping England reach the semi-finals of this summer's competition in Russia.
