Leicester City 'close in on Porto right-back Ricardo Pereira'

Leicester City are said to be close to reaching a deal to sign Porto right-back Ricardo Pereira.

Leicester City are reportedly close to signing Porto right-back Ricardo Pereira.

The Foxes are in ongoing talks with the Portuguese club with a view to completing the deal before the World Cup, according to the Daily Mail.

Pereira's contract is said to include a release clause of £33m, but Leicester are aiming to land the player for a lower fee plus add-ons.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have previously been linked with Pereira, but the Foxes are reported to be the frontrunners to secure his services.

Meanwhile, Leicester are also said to be interested in Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts.
