A late strike from Danny Drinkwater has given Leicester City a 3-2 win over Walsall in a pre-season friendly this evening.
The visitors were on the attack early on and opened the scoring after just seven minutes when Wes Morgan headed in from a Marc Albrighton corner.
Ashley Grimes and Walsall triallist Mathieu Manset both came close to getting the hosts back on level terms, but Morgan managed to block the first shot, while the second was dragged wide.
However, the Foxes were able to double their advantage inside the opening half-hour when David Nugent collected the ball on the edge of the box and lobbed it into the roof of the net.
Walsall pulled one back just before the break when Manset capitalised on a defensive mix-up to tap in from close range.
The triallist was involved again early in the second half when he set up Grimes for a finish at the near post to get the match back on level terms.
A Chris Wood move almost set the Premier League side up for their third of the night, but Andy King's finish was tipped over by the keeper.
Jamie Vardy had a couple of chances, but failed to connect with a Ritchie de Laet cross before lobbing the ball over the crossbar.
Leicester continued to push in the final minutes of the match, and managed to snatch a late winner when Drinkwater fired into the top corner from 25 yards out inside the final three minutes.
