Fulham announce Matt Smith signing

Matt Smith joins Fulham from Leeds United on a three-year deal.

Fulham have confirmed that they have signed striker Matt Smith from Leeds United on a three-year deal.

Smith joins the Cottagers for an undisclosed fee in a deal that will keep him at Craven Cottage until 2017, with the option of an additional year.

The 25-year-old had only signed a contract extension at Elland Road last month.

The move will see Smith reunited with fellow striker Ross McCormack, who swapped Leeds for Fulham earlier in the summer.

Smith struck 12 times in 20 Championship starts for United last season.
