Jay Emmanuel-Thomas interests Birmingham City?

A report claims that Birmingham City are looking to sign free agent Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has reportedly made Jay Emmanuel-Thomas one of his major summer transfer targets.

The former Arsenal trainee can be signed on a free transfer following his recent release by League One champions Bristol City.

News of the 24-year-old's availability has captured the attention of Rowett, who is eager to bolster his attacking options ahead of the 2015-16 campaign, according to the Birmingham Mail.

However, the report added that the Blues could face competition from a number of Championship clubs, including Leeds United and Nottingham Forest.

Emmanuel-Thomas scored 12 goals in 48 outings for the Robins.
