Leeds United have released seven experienced players as new owner Massimo Cellino begins to make cutbacks at Elland Road.
Experienced duo Michael Brown and El-Hadji Diouf are among the players who have been told that they are free to find new clubs, with BBC Radio Leeds reporting that £3m could be saved by cutting the wage bill.
Former Stoke City winger Danny Pugh will leave, despite making 21 appearances for the Yorkshire outfit last season, while back-up goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown is another to find himself as a free agent.
Adam Drury, Paul Green and Luke Varney, who all ended the campaign on loan with another club, will also depart Brian McDermott's side.
