Jesse Marsch describes Leeds United's 3-2 comeback victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Friday as 'one of the best results' he has ever seen in football.

Jesse Marsch has described Leeds United's 3-2 comeback victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Friday night as 'one of the best results' he has ever seen in football.

After going two goals down and losing Patrick Bamford, Diego Llorente and Mateusz Klich to injury before the break, the Whites managed to take advantage of Raul Jimenez's 53rd-minute dismissal, scoring three goals in the final half-hour to claim three crucial points in dramatic fashion.

Two goals in three minutes from Jack Harrison and Rodrigo restored parity for the visitors before a 91st-minute winner from Luke Ayling sent the Leeds away supporters into pandemonium.

Speaking in his post-match interview for Sky Sports, Marsch said: "That's one of the best results not just in my career but that I've seen. Two games in a row. This is about the character and hearts of these men. They take all the credit.

"This is a group that has big hearts, quality young men and I'm very thankful to be here with them and in this situation to be in a fight with them (for Premier League survival) because I believe in them a lot even though we've only been together for a short time.

"Another big win for us, another emotional win but today was less about tactics and more about mentality."

Marsch has also provided a update for injured quartet, Bamford, Llorente, Klich and Illian Meslier, with the latter forced off following a collision with Jimenez, which resulted in the Wolves striker receiving his second booking on the night.

Leeds have now moves seven points clear of the relegation zone and they will now prepare for their next fixture after the international break at home against Southampton on April 2.
