Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler is reportedly not in contention to become Leeds United's new manager, despite media outlets stating otherwise.
Yesterday, rumours emerged claiming that the 39-year-old has applied for the managerial role vacated by Dave Hockaday last month.
However, according to BBC Radio Leeds reporter Adam Pope, the retired professional, who spent two years at Elland Road during his playing career, has not handed over a formal application.
Neil Redfearn is temporarily in charge of the first team after owner Massimo Cellino opted to dismiss Hockaday.
